We ♥ Pokemon

Gotta catch them all!

Yep! That's ought to be the mission of a Pokemon fan.
Get them all and complete the National POKEDEX.

My 4th grader boy is a huge fan of anything Pokemon since he was in 1st grade.  He has played and beaten almost all the Generations 3, 4 and 5 Pokemon Nintendo DS games released.  The only exceptions are HeartGold and SoulSilver, he said. It was tough to catch Lugia.  But believe it or not, I learned to play the game too. I get to help him evolve certain Pokemon that needs to earn hp's to evolve. I must admit I enjoyed beating the Elite Four the most. And my favorite game is the Pokemon Black and White. LOVE!!

School Lunches: Pokemon...Gotta Catch Them All!

Mr G is a huge Pokemon Fan. There came a time that everything had to be Pokemon-themed. Glad that I wasn't bento-ing back then, or else, every single day would be Pokemon-inspired lunches.  I must say that I am thankful to a very amazing friend, Jenn of Bento For Kidlet, who gifted me all her Pokemon sandwich cutters and punchers, bento box and picks.  This had made my boy's Pokemon World complete.
On top is Pichu cut and pressed on a whole wheat bread with cheddar cheese & ham.  On PokeBall tomatoes were Pikachu (yellow), Treeko (green), Mudkip (blue), and Torchic (orange). The background was made of Nori sheets for the tall grass and some dried blueberries for pokemon's energy and health boost.  This part of the compartment was easily made by my 9 year old Mr G.  Awesome isn't it?
We also added corn and green peas, and green apple slices for added healthy sides and dessert.  I wanted to make sure that my boy is getting enough nutrients in his Pokemon lunch today.  All packed on our favorite Easy Lunchboxes.

I hope you loved this post!  Have a great Labor Day weekend!!

Summer Mealtime: Bento Fun with Pikachu

I must be already on a road trip by the time you're reading this. We planned a trip to San Francisco just before the kids get ready for school 11 days from the time I set this live. So bare with me. I will be posting our trip after I come back.  That would be mostly about food trips, of course.
Lunch is served. Gyoza and rice with black vinegar.
Watermelon cubes where Pikachu stands.
This is what the kids had the day before the trip. Pikachu was accidentally placed there. They were confiscated from my bento accessories box for this reason.  I know I owe him a Pokemon lunch, but for some reason, I couldn't find inspiration to make it happen.  I  think I need a sandwich presser.  Onigiris are just way too tough for me.  Not really. I'm just too afraid to make use of artificial dyes to make it look like Pikachu.  But I think I just knew what i could make use of to turn my onigiris yellow.  I will just surprise him one day.  I promise to post once accomplished.

Have a great week ahead!
See you when I get back.

Patriotic Blog Hop: 4th of July

My fellow Bento Bloggers and Friends
 are doing another hop today
to commemorate Patriotic Day.

Independence Day in the US.

I have incorporated Asian cuisine to make an American flag,
since we are Asians living in the US, with Asian cultures and traditions.
